Foundations of Herbal Medicine

Receive a 384-page home-manual written by renowned Herb Educator James Green. Enjoy 18 hours of class time at Four Winds Farm, Quincy, IL. Have fun, get dirty, learn much, and harvest preparations to take home and use.

The class is designed to provide helpful hands-on information and experience. It is taught by Holistic Health Practitioner, Deborah Lee, Ph.D. at her Agri-Tourism business: Four Winds Farm, 3729 N 36th, Quincy, IL.

The educational weekend workshop includes:

❖ Safe and effective use of herbs

❖ Medicinal actions and herbal approaches

❖ Outdoor identification & collecting of herbs and plants

❖ Growing tips & companion gardening

❖ Drying & preserving

❖ Prevention methods for numerous illnesses

❖ Safe use of therapeutic essential oils

❖ Make and Take: infusions, decoctions and oxymels, including:

❖ A personal flower remedy

❖ Herbal teas and decoctions

❖ Salves and fixed oils

❖ Syrup and cold Remedies, plus written suggestions

Fee: $375: 18 hours, 384-page textbook. Make and take home 7 (or more) herbal preparations that you collect and prepare. Enjoy easy collecting treks to the Herb and Flower Gardens to collect. Light lunch on Sunday.
